Detroit in the fall is nothing short of magical, and this engagement shoot was no exception! We started near the iconic Detroit Institute of Arts and the library exterior, taking advantage of the timeless beauty of the steps and pillars. These spots created the perfect backdrop for the couple’s classic outfit choice: a chic white dress and a sharp suit. The architecture added an elegant touch, perfectly complementing their sophisticated look.
The crisp fall weather brought a warm, sunny vibe to the shoot, with golden light streaming through the trees. I even incorporated direct sunlight with flash for a striking, dynamic effect—a fun experiment that paid off beautifully!
For the second part of the session, we headed to Belle Isle, a location that never disappoints. The couple changed into casual fall outfits—she wore a cozy red sweater, and he sported a tan sweater, perfect for the relaxed vibe of this portion of the shoot. Belle Isle offered so many stunning settings: a grand fountain that gave off European vibes, rows of trees glowing with fall colors, a breathtaking view of the city skyline, and charming benches near a giant tree. Each spot highlighted the couple’s natural connection, blending candid moments with thoughtfully posed shots.
