Alex and Jessica’s July wedding at The Broadway Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan was the perfect blend of modern elegance, meaningful moments, and joyful celebration. From the venue to the couple themselves, every piece of the day came together beautifully! It was an absolute honor to document it all.

The Broadway Avenue is a stunning church-turned-wedding venue that manages to keep its original character while offering a clean, updated look throughout. Natural light pours in from massive windows that make every corner glow. Especially in the ceremony space, where the soft lighting created a romantic and peaceful atmosphere. You can tell the venue owners were thoughtful in every part of the design. From the stylish getting-ready rooms to the seamless flow between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

Jessica and Alex were relaxed and glowing all day long. They were so happy to simply be marrying each other, and that joy radiated through every photo. Their wedding style was simple but elegant—nothing over-the-top, just carefully chosen details that reflected who they are as a couple.

To add variety to their gallery, we headed to Richmond Park before the ceremony for portraits. The natural greenery and soft textures at the park created a perfect contrast to the clean, architectural lines of the venue. It gave us a beautiful balance between modern elegance and organic beauty, and the two of them looked so at ease tucked into the trees and surrounded by nature.

Back at the venue, the celebration continued with personal touches that made the reception unforgettable. One of the standout moments? Jessica sang for their guests while Alex accompanied her on piano. It was heartfelt, intimate, and had the whole room in awe. It’s rare to see a couple incorporate something so personal and genuine into their reception—and it made the night feel extra special.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for a fun and refreshing ice cream bar by Love’s Ice Cream, which was a huge hit on a warm July evening. The delicious meal by YoChef Catering and music by Moments by Disjockey kept guests happy and dancing late into the night. Every vendor played a part in making the day smooth and memorable.

This wedding reminded me why I love what I do. A beautiful venue, intentional design, and a couple whose love speaks louder than any decor. Alex and Jessica’s Broadway Avenue wedding in Grand Rapids was truly one for the books.
