Getting to Know Your Photographer - Angela Flack Photography

Writer: Angela FlackAngela Flack

Hi there! I’m Angie, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a wedding and portrait photographer based in Midland, Michigan, I’ve had the privilege of capturing some of life’s most joyful and heartfelt moments. Whether it's an elegant city wedding, an adventurous elopement, or a dreamy engagement session, my goal is to create images that feel timeless, natural, and truly you.

A Little About Me

Photography has been more than just a career for me; it’s a way of seeing the world. My journey started with documenting my travels, capturing the beauty and stories of each place I visited. When friends started getting engaged, I began photographing couples and quickly fell in love with the storytelling aspect of it all. Over the years, my passion has grown into a mix of documentary and editorial styles, balancing candid joy with classic sophistication. My favorite photos are the ones that transport you back—to a laugh, a tear, or a quiet moment you didn’t realize was so special until it was frozen in time.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me teaching 8th-grade science. Balancing two careers comes naturally to me because teaching and photography complement each other so well. Teaching has taught me patience, adaptability, and how to keep things running smoothly under pressure—skills that come in handy on a wedding day!

My Philosophy

I believe that photography is about more than just pretty pictures. It’s about connection, trust, and the little details that make your story unique. My couples often tell me they feel completely at ease in front of my camera, and that means the world to me. From creating structured timelines to calming pre-ceremony nerves, I’m here to make sure you’re free to be fully present on your big day.

A Few of My Favorite Things

  • Travel: My dream destination shoot would take me back to Europe. Some of my favorite sessions have been in Germany, Croatia, and France, where the history and beauty of the architecture made every moment magical. I can’t wait to document more love stories there!

  • City Engagements & Elopements: There’s something about the clean lines and inspiring architecture of a cityscape that I absolutely love. The energy, the light, and the design make urban settings the perfect backdrop for modern love stories.

  • Nature & Quiet Moments: Escaping into nature recharges my soul. There’s something about the stillness of a mountain trail or the vastness of the ocean that reminds me of my purpose: to serve and love others.

  • Family & Tradition: I’m a big believer in cherishing the people who matter most. Some of my favorite memories are from summers at my grandmother’s lakehouse, packed to the brim with cousins, laughter, and love.

  • Creative Freedom: While I specialize in weddings, I love the artistic freedom that comes with engagement sessions. They’re a chance to slow down, get creative, and showcase your unique connection in a relaxed setting.

  • The Details: From the design of your bouquet to the soft touch of your dress fabric, I’m a sucker for the little things that make your day uniquely yours.

Why I Do What I Do

At the heart of my photography is a deep desire to tell your story. I love getting to know couples better through seeing them with their favorite people and hearing heartfelt speeches. These moments give me such a rich understanding of their story, and I hope my photos remind you of not just how your day looked but how it felt—the nerves, the laughter, the quiet moments of connection. My favorite feedback is when couples say they relive their wedding day through their gallery, discovering moments they didn’t even realize were happening.

Thank you for considering me to capture your memories. It’s an honor I don’t take lightly, and I can’t wait to learn more about your story! If you’re ready to create something beautiful together, let’s chat.

Warmly,

Angela Flack
